ATP was present at ITB Berlin, the world’s leading travel trade show, which took place between 6th and 10th March at German capital.
The five-day exhibition hosted 10 000 companies and organizations from 181 different countries and regions, which exhibited their products and services to more than 160 000 visitors, including 113 500 tourism and travel agents. This number of trade visitors represents a three percent increase in comparison to 2018.
ITB Berlin Convention remains the main attractions for many sector agents. In a new venue, The CityCube Berlin, the convention counted with high-ranking speakers from all around the world who, in various panels, discussed subjects as over-tourism, sustainability and environment, customer behavior and future mobility, exploring different segments as the luxury travel market.
This edition was also marked by the inauguration of the Technology, Tours & Activities segment. In the first two days of the trade show, the access to the 26 halls of ITB Berlin was exclusive to trade visitors.
Between Wednesday and Sunday, Porto and North stand was visited by several tourism companies and organizations to discuss the international promotion of Northern Portugal as a destination.
In 2020, ITB Berlin and ITB Berlin Convention return to Messe Berlin from Wednesday, 4 to Sunday, 8 March.
